Tomorrow is the long awaited announcement of the 2017 Lions Tour Head Coach. After a successful Tour to Australia in 2013, there are high expectations for the British and Irish Lions Tour heading down to New Zealand in 10 months time. The favourites for the job happen to have emigrated from this distant land to apply their trade for the Northern Hemisphere international teams. The current favourite to take charge of the 2017 Tour is the success of 2013: Warren Gatland (pictured below). It is expected that Gatland will be announced as the Head Coach tomorrow in Edinburgh at 12:30.

The other men vying for this prestigious position are believed to be Vern Cotter and Joe Schmidt; both fellow Kiwis. Vern Cotter recently stepped down as Scotland Head Coach and as the announcement is being held in Edinburgh, a few believe he made be an outside chance for the job. Cotter is known for his expansive style of play, transforming Scotland in his three year tenure and also developing one of Europe's most esteemed attacking teams whilst working at Clermont Auvergne with Alex King (Northampton Saint's backs coach).
Joe Schmidt is unlikely to get the call to face the media tomorrow, preferring to draw his focuses to Irish Rugby. Under Schmidt Ireland have won two Six Nations titles, however falling short this year, finishing in third.
Many believe Eddie Jones is the man that should be heading down under to the Southern Hemisphere in 10 months time. After his recent Grand Slam success and whitewash of Australia in their own backyard, he seems an obvious favourite. He would add the bite to the Lions that he has installed with England and as an Aussie, he would love to get one up on his Kiwi nemesis
